Aquesta passada nit ha tingut lloc al Nokia Theatre de Los Angeles, la gala d’entrega dels premis American Music Awards i on han brillat noms com Iggy Azalea, Beyoncé i sobretot One Direction, que s’han emportat el premi a millor artista de l’any, millor àlbum pop rock amb Midnight Memories i Millor banda de pop o rock.
Entre els guanyadors també trobem Sam Smith a millor artista masculí i Katy Perry que s’ha endut el femení. El guardó a nou artista de l’any ha recaigut en 5 Seconds of Summer. La banda alternativa ha estat Imagine Dragons.
Al llarg de la gala s’han pogut veure diferents actuacions musicals d’artistes com Taylor Swift, Charlie XCX, MAGIC!, Lorde, Imagine Dragons o Sam Smith entre d’altres.
