Aquesta nit s’ha donat a conèixer un dels guardons més ben considerats del Regne Unit, el Mercury Prize que ha anat a parar a les mans dels Wolf Alice amb el seu últim disc Visions of a life.
Les cases d’apostes ja posaven el nom del grup entre els favorits, al costat dels Arctic Monkeys o Jorja Smith i lluny de Florence + The Machine o de Noel Gallagher, que finalment no han pogut fer res per guanyar.
El Mercury Prize distingeix el millor disc del Regne Unit o Irlanda i en anteriors edicions han sortit com a vencedors, Benjamin Clementine, l’any 2015 amb At Least for Now, Skepta amb Konnichiwa l’any següent, mentre que l’any passat es va imposar Sampha amb Process.
