MTV ha anunciat la llista dels nominats dels seus guardons els MTV VMAs i que enguany tindrà lloc el 30 d’agost a Nova York i sembla que se celebaria o amb molt poc públic o directament sense per evitar possibles contagis.
En un any molt estrany per la música s’ha optat per incorporar dues categories molt especials, “Millor vídeo musical fet a casa” i “Millor actuació durant la quarantena“.
Entre els més nominats trobem a Lady Gaga que gràcies a la seva col·laboració amb Ariana Grande a ‘Rain on me’ opten a 7 guardons i 2 de forma individual. També The Weeknd figura com un dels més nominats gràcies a ‘Blinding lights’, mentre que Billie Eilish està com The Weeknd nominada a 6 categories entre elles a millor vídeo de l’any per ‘everything i wanted’.
Dua Lipa no apareix en les principals categories, fet que ha provocat molts comentaris negatius cap a l’organització, mentre que Justin Bieber, Eminem, Doja Xar, DaBaby, Taylor Swift, Green Day, The 1975, Blink-182 o Coldplay també opten a algun premi.
La catalana Rosalía aconsegueix situar en una categoria tècnica el vídeo de ‘A palé’.
